Phyllis
ECE III - Executive Director
Hi, my name is Phyllis and I have been working at TKCC since 2005. This is the same year that I worked closely with a volunteer Parent Board made up of Parents. They believed a licensed childcare centre was just what our community needed and they were not afraid to do the work to get it. I love childcare because I get a chance to give children a great learning environment and relive all the wonder I had as a kid!

Hello everyone! My name is Michelle and I am the Assistant Director of TKCC as of April 2025. I graduated from Red River College with my diploma in Child Care and as an ECE III in June of 1992. I have been working in the field ever since. I have had many roles as an ECE including supervisor, inclusion support coordinator, home daycare provider, mentor and evaluator for high school students and students in the Early Childhood Education program. I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 1992, have 3 beautiful children, 2 of whom are married, and I am a grandma! In my spare time I enjoy the outdoors. I love quadding, boating, riding on the back of my husband’s motorcycle, and spending time with my family and friends around bonfires. I have also discovered the joy of travelling to hot destinations. I am excited to work with and be a mentor to the families, children and staff here at TKCC.

ECE II - Supervisor/School Age
Hi, my name is Krystal. I have been at Treasure Keepers for four years. My passion is finding support to meet the needs of every child in our care. I love having a job where I get to watch children grow and learn. Being a part of the TKCC team means a lot to me, I get a supportive work environment where I can grow and learn new ways of thinking. For fun, I like to go four-wheeling with my friends and family and spending quality time with my grandson. One thing I would like people to know about me is I can be a little shy in new situations.

Diane
Hello, my name is Diane. I started at Treasure Keepers in November 2024. I have been an ECE II for almost 2 years. Some fun and important facts you should know about me is, I love spending time with my 3 children and 3 grandchildren. My youngest daughter is a “barrier racer” with her horse Lucy witch I love watching. I also enjoy spending time with my 2 dogs, Sadie and Daisy. Daisy loves to play fetch, so she keeps me busy throwing the balls. Yard work and gardening is also a passion of mine. I grew up in Winnipeg with 3 brothers and 1 sister. I am very family oriented and enjoy the time I get to spend with family and friends. I have been in the childcare field for many years now. I have many fond memories with the children in my care. I started out by babysitting when I was 12 years old. I ran my own daycare and was a nanny for a family of doctors. I then came back into the early childhood education field. My passion has always been looking after children and working with them. Watching their little minds mature and grow from a young age into young adults which is an amazing accomplishment. My goal is to eventually retire and spend more time with my grandchildren and children.

Jennifer
ECE II - Infant Room
Hi, my name is Jennifer but everyone calls me Jen. I graduated from Red River College with my ECE II in 2015. I first started at TKCC in the summer of 2010 as a volunteer. Then in the fall of 2012, I started subbing/part-time. In May 2015 I started my full-time position in the infant room. I love working with infants and seeing how much they grow and change in such a short time. This is always challenging for me to create an environment that showcases how capable and independent an infant is. I love playing in the mud and getting messy whether it is quadding or at work.

Kourtnee
ECE II in Training - Principale
My name is Kourtnee! I have my CCA and would like to eventually work towards my ECE 11. I started at TKCC in March of 2024, and have loved it here so far! I am a person who kinda just floats around, doing things that we can’t always get to (such as deep cleaning), or subbing in for workers that can’t make it to work, so I do a little bit of everything. I have so many goals at this point that I don’t even know where to start. I hope to finish up school, I want to travel, I want to grow my book collection, I want to keep evolving myself as a person: just so much I want to do!

I am passionate about working with children in a daycare environment. I truly enjoy engaging with them through activities such as playing, drawing, and reading. When I am with children, their smiles and curiosity inspire me every day. Outside of work, I enjoy listening to Punjabi music, spending time connecting with my friends and family, and dancing. I also enjoy exploring online shopping platforms and occasionally treating myself to new items. These days, I have also been trying to cook new dishes so that I can become a better cook. In addition, I love exploring different places and traveling. I hope to visit many beautiful and unique destinations around the world.

Child Care Assistant
I’m so excited to be part of the team here at Treasure Keepers! Last year, I had the opportunity to volunteer at a daycare, and that experience truly inspired me to pursue my role here.Watching how children learn, laugh, and grow every day made me realize how much I love being part of their early learning journey. Seeing how meaningful those connections with children and families can be made me realize this is exactly where I want to be. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors — whether it’s exploring new trails, having a picnic, or enjoying a good beach day. I’m also a big fan of arts and crafts, baking sweet treats, and anything that lets me get creative. You’ll probably catch me laughing, dancing, or singing along with the kids — every day is a new adventure!

I’m new to the Early Childhood field and truly enjoying every opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference in the lives of the children I work with. I love childcare because it allows me to nurture children’s curiosity, creativity, and confidence in a safe and welcoming environment. Every day brings something new—a smile, a question, or a moment of discovery—that reminds me how rewarding it is to help children learn and thrive. Outside of work, I enjoy fellowship with people, soccer, traveling, hiking, camping, and watching motivational movies. My goal is to be a blessing to others by showing care, respect, and love in everything I do.
